Staff Positions

Location – Oshawa

Purpose: To assist the Site Supervisor and Crew Volunteer Leads on all build sites and projects.Time Commitment: 8 hours/day
Monday to Friday – 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday – 8:30 am – 12pm

Position Duties:
• Ensure tools are maintained and organized
• Maintain a clean and orderly worksite at all times
• Assist with ensuring quality build standards are followed
• Load and unload product to/from delivery vehicles
• Cooperative and enthusiastic attitude at all times
• Able to lift a minimum of 25lb and possess reasonable ability to do necessary physical labour
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills

Qualifications and Skills:
• Understanding of the Habitat for Humanity philosophy and the desire to promote it
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work with a team or independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers, HFH Durham staff members and volunteers
• Detail oriented
• Friendly, approachable and outgoing
